Summary of Robert Henderson's Operating in the Courts of Heaven
Autor: Everest Media,

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 The place of the initial conflict is in a courtroom, not on a battlefield. Christians should first win their verdicts in the courtroom of Heaven before going out to win on the battlefield. #2 The first thing we must see is that Heaven is open. This means that there is revelation and things we need to discern in the Heavenly realm. Prayer and warfare should not be a shot in the dark. We should be able to pinpoint the things that need to be dealt with and touch them with accuracy. #3 When we pray, we are entering a courtroom. If the widow in Jesus’ parable could get an answer and a verdict from an unjust judge through her persistent activity in a court, how much more can we gain answers as the elect of God before the Righteous Judge of all. #4 The widow in the parable of the courtroom was praying for a verdict from the court, not from the battlefield. She realized that she didn’t need to march onto a battlefield and yell at her adversary. She just needed a verdict from the court.

In a research study he trapped and banded more than 10 thousand sharp-tailed grouse. More grouse that has ever been studied before. And during the study found a new method of determining the sex of these grouse. From June of 1968 until 1996 he was promoted from Assistant Professor to Professor at Kansas State University, where he received many awards for his work as Extension Specialist in helping people...

Family Nibbles - Volume 11
Autor: Mark Jarvis
Número de Páginas: 288
"Family Nibbles - Volume 11, Stories of Our Maninger Ancestors 1700-1920" is a compilation of stories from the blog site familynibbles.com. Since the 1600s, generations of our Maningers lived in and around the village of Dittwar, Germany. It's a village in a side valley of the Tauber River southwest of Würzburg, Germany. The farms and vineyards sustained the Maningers for generations. By the mid-1800s, economic and military factors contributed to emigration from Europe to the Western Hemisphere. In 1854, Valentine Maninger left Dittwar for America, settling in central Illinois. He plied his trade as a shoemaker, then became a farmer. In Illinois, Valentine met and married Magdalena Smith Neuhauser. Magdalena's family had come from Alsace Lorraine, and had close ties with neighboring Amish families. Those families lived, worked, married, and worshipped together. In the 1880s, the families moved west together, to Harper County, Kansas. Valentine Maninger's descendants established farms and jobs and businesses in Harper. In the 20th century, succeeding generations found opportunity and work away from Harper. Today the Maninger descendants are widespread, but relish their common...

Prosody and Prosodic Interfaces
Autor: Haruo Kubozono , Junko Ito , Armin Mester
Número de Páginas: 577
This volume brings together new work on prosody and prosodic interfaces from international experts in the field. The book is divided into three parts that explore topics in word prosody and phrase prosody, lexical tone and intonation, and the syntax-prosody interface. While many recent studies have focused on prosody and related questions, a significant number of languages, dialects, and varieties remain largely undocumented or understudied in this respect. The chapters in this volume help to fill this empirical gap, with investigations into languages such as Choguita Rarámuri (Mexico), Poko (Papua New Guinea), Rere (Sudan), and Uspanteko (Guatemala), alongside more widely studied languages such as Japanese and Serbian. The authors also address a range of important questions pertaining to, for example, the interactions between lexical and postlexical tones and the relationship between prosodic and syntactic structure. The volume as a whole sheds light on how prosody is structured in language and how it functions in human communication.

The Mecklenburg Signers and Their Neighbors
Autor: Worth Stickley Ray
Número de Páginas: 252
Probably the finest genealogical record ever compiled on the people of ancient Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, this work consists of extensive source records and documented family sketches. Collectively, what is presented here is a veritable history of a people--a "tribe" of people--who settled in the valley between the Yadkin and Catawba rivers more than two hundred years ago. The object of the book is to show where these people originated and what became of them and their descendants. Included among the source records are the various lists of the Signers of the Mecklenburg Declaration; Abstracts of Some Ancient Items from Mecklenburg County Records; Marriage Records and Relationships of Mecklenburg People; List of Public Officials of Mecklenburg County, 1775-1785; First U.S. Census of 1790 by Districts; Tombstone Inscriptions; and Sketches of the Mecklenburg Signers. The work concludes with indexes of subjects and places, as well as a name index of 5,000 persons. (Part III of "Lost Tribes of North Carolina.")

Broadway Musicals, 1943-2004
Autor: John Stewart
Número de Páginas: 6404
On March 31, 1943, the musical Oklahoma! premiered and the modern era of the Broadway musical was born. Since that time, the theatres of Broadway have staged hundreds of musicals--some more noteworthy than others, but all in their own way a part of American theatre history. With more than 750 entries, this comprehensive reference work provides information on every musical produced on Broadway since Oklahoma's 1943 debut. Each entry begins with a brief synopsis of the show, followed by a three-part history: first, the pre-Broadway story of the show, including out-of-town try-outs and Broadway previews; next, the Broadway run itself, with dates, theatres, and cast and crew, including replacements, chorus and understudies, songs, gossip, and notes on reviews and awards; and finally, post-Broadway information with a detailed list of later notable productions, along with important reviews and awards.

Minding Her Own Business
Autor: Catherine Bishop
Número de Páginas: 342
A history that populates the streets of colonial Sydney with entrepreneurial businesswomen earning their living in a variety of small – and sometimes surprising – enterprises. There are few memorials to colonial businesswomen, but if you know where to look you can find many traces of their presence as you wander the streets of Sydney. From milliners and dressmakers to ironmongers and booksellers; from publicans and boarding-house keepers to butchers and taxidermists; from school teachers to ginger-beer manufacturers: these women have been hidden in the historical record but were visible to their contemporaries. Catherine Bishop brings the stories of these entrepreneurial women to life, with fascinating details of their successes and failures, their determination and wilfulness, their achievements, their tragedies and the occasional juicy scandal. Until now we have imagined colonial women indoors as wives, and mothers, domestic servants or prostitutes. This book sets them firmly out in the open.
